I'm a developer from Pécs, Hungary. I like to make tools for people. https://decoding.io
I've been looking for a tool that supports threaded thinking. Distill by @TGUPJ nails the concept but it's pricey, hosted, and not native. I want local files, so I can use git. So I built something similar with Bike.

The core idea is append-only threading. New thoughts go at the end.

Despite its bugs and questionable choices, I’m starting to like Liquid Glass. I really hope Apple gets their act together and iterates heavily on it because there are good ideas here, but it needs a lot of refinement.

I can drag the window through the app menu…

NOBODY QA-D THIS SHIT?

Why do we even have the HIG if junior designers at Apple create stuff like this?

Photos is confusing like hell. The toolbar goes dark, then light, then dark again. I know it tries to adapt to the background, but it simply doesn't work.

If you open a photo it goes into a weird white gradient, then back to dark. This has absolutetly no logic in it.

Really? Is this shit going to stay like this?
September 2, 2025 at 6:34 PM
I've been using macOS Tahoe's new Liquid Glass design for a couple of days, and the dynamic background adaptation is completely broken. Buttons shift from black to white as the background changes, and it's jarring every time.

The new /context command in Claude Code revealed how I'm wasting tokens by having all MCP tools loaded into one session for every conversation. When I'm in the middle of development, I don't need OmniFocus task management or DEVONthink database tools.

If this new foldable iPhone will be actually good, I'll probably get rid of my iPad mini.

Today, I designed the Rails controller layer for Pezeta, focusing on five main components: authentication with auto-created ledgers, the main budget controller, categories CRUD operations, monthly allocations, and test infrastructure.

I'm adhering strictly to pure Rails MVC patterns.

Built the model layer for goal-oriented budgeting in Pezeta today. Four goal types are now working: Someday (save until target), Monthly (fixed amounts), Deadline (spread to due date), and Reserve (maintain emergency buffer).
July 15, 2025 at 9:15 AM
Tried something new today: having two AI agents collaborate on planning work for Pezeta. Claude Opus 4 and ChatGPT o3 literally chatting with each other through the Repo Prompt (repoprompt.com) MCP tool.
July 10, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Continued yesterday's goal system work for Pezeta. Today I dove deeper into edge cases and refined the allocation logic.
July 9, 2025 at 10:50 PM
Today I finished the core data models for Pezeta and planned out the goal allocation rules that'll make this budgeting app different from the rest.

I downloaded the new macOS beta, and the tabs look much better. They have a darker background, and Safari now offers an option to turn off color in tabs (see the “Show color in tab bar” in the middle).
July 8, 2025 at 8:41 AM
I see people complaining about Apple toning down Liquid Glass. This is the right move. The previous version changed background colors excessively, was often unreadable, and made the UI look like a spinning disco ball.

This version is more relaxed, though still buggy.

Day 2 of building Pezeta in public. Only spending 1-2 hours a day on this, but got the foundation done - three Rails models with TDD. Not the exciting part, but you need somewhere to put the data.
July 7, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Finally decided to start building Pezeta today.

It's been in my mind for years - since we started Agyvihar, our Hungarian podcast about personal finance and productivity.
