Had a wonderful first (in person) NECoPA.
In my article for the ASPA PATIMES I discuss the state of disability equity research.
I discuss: the construction of administrative burden, the nuance of disability definitions used by the government, and the relationship between these and disenchantment with public programs.

It was great to take the PhD course in network governance and present my work on administrative burden at this year's @irspm.bsky.social conference. Truly a great conference in a beautiful city, and with great scholarship!

Another successful ASPA conference. It was exciting to discuss the future of nonprofits and have some serious conversations about loneliness and citizen/service effectiveness. Time to leave the cherry blossoms and depart for IRSPM.

This article seems to be making the rounds. To say that this is willfully ignorant of history and a discipline is an understatement. Paranoid and delusional is a good start.

Denizens of the Deep State
Public administration in the United States has always been synonymous with the expansion of government and “expert” control.

The Government Waste DOGE Should Be Cutting
The problem that really needs fixing is not the public employees but the private contractors—and Elon Musk is one of them.

I am so happy to say that I am officially a doctoral candidate. My dissertation is composed of three essays addressing organizational change through populist emotional sentiment.
More specifically, I use the lenses of instititutional work, logic, and interaction rituals.
