Today marks the first day of the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. Zoota joins the rest of the world in commemorating this year’s milestone in our fight to end GBV in rural communities.

Last week, we joined @konradadenauer.bsky.social Uganda and South Sudan to hold the first ever Westnile dialogue on the state of human rights and political rights in Arua District and City. We shaped conversations around up holding human rights and democracy.

We must make sure that no woman or young person faces violence, harassment or abuse as they try to earn a living in our trade corridors in Westnile. These spaces should not be places of fear but path ways of opportunity.
