Happy 4th birthday to Ozzy! 🎉

Our prehensile-tailed porcupine celebrated with a special cake this weekend. It was made with items from his normal diet and topped with yams, peppers, spinach, peanut butter, and popcorn.

🐸 Don’t let the name fool you: the Amazon milk frog doesn’t make milk; it produces a protective secretion that is toxic to predators.

No tricks, only treats at Zoo Boise. 🎃👻 Sandwiches aren't on the menu for our African wild dogs today... so how about a six-foot tall witch enrichment full of meat! Happy Halloween!

They may look like house cats, but sand cats are fearless predators! Our sand cats both now live in the brand-new TLC Foundation Small Cat Hideaway.

Over 800 gallons of sandy substrate were spread through their habitats for the cats to enjoy digging and playing in!

Get to know Nile crocodile Pandora and one of her common behaviors:

She enjoys 'soaking up rays' by basking in the sun or under lights to regulate body temp. Crocodiles also don't have sweat glands, so you may see Pandora with her mouth open. This gaping helps crocs release heat.
