I’m busy working on lots of new ideas, keeping some quite spontaneous. I’ve got spring on my mind because I’m feeling a little tired of cold damp winter weather. I’m also enjoying using Schminke’s granulation watercolour paints

I think I’ve almost finished the deer painting. I’ve used 300gsm cold pressed Arches watercolour paper with Artist quality watercolour black paints & white gouache. I’ve allowed the paper texture to be part of the painting

I’m in the process of translating the deer sketch I did for #Inktober 2025 to a watercolour painting. The #sketch was popular with viewers so I thought it’d be good to do a proper #painting. I’ve kept to an ink palette which is very different for me
