My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

Reimagining the Mario series as a tale of imperial Britain vs revolutionary colonial holdings, complete with white 'savior' Mario coming in to fight for the bad guys

Ari Drennen is crashing out so I muted her. Lemme know if she gets back to normal sometime soon.

I'm far more afraid of those who celebrated his life than those who celebrated his death.

Every so often I think about going back to all the people who, over the years, have told me I was overreacting and things wouldn't get this bad and SCREAMING IN THEIR FACES.

Instead, I...finally... have a few people who recognize the truth of the situation, and will help me escape.

@gmskeptic.bsky.social I saw in a recent video that Taylor grew up in a community in Papua.

My cousins were part of a missions community in Papua, so I am now super curious- did she know the Hesses, by chance?

Some news.
Karen Attiah, a Washington Post opinion writer fired this month for her social media posts about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, has filed a grievance arguing that she should have been allowed to share her views on news events under the company’s labor agreement and social media policy.

I need to never hear from anyone who is 'raptured' today ever again. See y'all later, go bask in heavenly light or whatever. We'll handle things from here.

The very core of human existence is this: I know who I am.

No one can take that from me. Not by rhetoric or force of arms.

What a fitting tribute to the memory of Charlie Kirk: falsely blaming a tragedy on innocent trans people to get them killed.

I wonder what the journalistic ethics of taking dark money to spew democrats talking points and agreeing never to disclose the connection are huh

I mean he’s such a champion of journalistic ethics that I had to be sacrificed for them for the disproven allegation that I slept with a journalist right

If it feels like nothings happening, like the efforts to resist the current government are perfunctory at best, remember: those building opposition are smart enough not to do it in broad daylight. You won't see it here or on Twitter or Facebook. Not until there's a plan in place and ready to roll.

'Hoax' is a disgusting sort of word. A casual offhand dismissal married with smug insinuations of some grand conspiracy, of someone pulling society's strings and you, the reader, are an idiot for ever believing it.

No wonder it's on Trump's vocabulary shortlist. :/

Cast your name out in the aether,
Cast your soul into the void,
Hope to hook another fisher,
Hope to someday share your joy.

Reel them in with lines of longing,
Bated breath and whispered prayer,
Tangled thoughts like nets unfolding,
Tangled hearts can thrive out there.

Unemployment Quest, day 4: I have been given a sidequest: code a small Unreal demo project (with fixin's)

I have applied to approx. 5 locations thus far, so I feel pretty good about laying most of my burdens down while I get back in the new-project groove.

Also I am making pizza today.

Unemployment Quest, day 1 (after a 3 day prologue in the woods):
Filed for unemployment. Applied to a job. Tried to figure out how to get my fellow layoff-ees to form a cooperative remote studio with me.

Mood: what are moods anyway?
