A lovely thing happened as I was walking through Rathgar with Dónal Lunny...this nice man from the antique shop, (Leo?) came out with a gorgeous painting and said I only know one man who would like a painting of a mandolin...and he gave it to Dónal!!! Isn't that so sweet 😍

So proud of my old student Máiread Hickey who performed last night with the NSO in the NCH in Dublin&again tonight in Cork🤩I can't take any credit for her immense classical training although I definitely taught her and her brother Seamus some jigs and reels over the years which was a joy!💜
