Looking back, trying to get into ICT by learning some convoluted corporate ERP shit though unpaid internship works far, far worse than trying out Linux because CLI is cool and you can do really weird shit with your desktop (including ruining it w/o backups)...

I assume by “safe” we mean “spine only minimally damaged” and not safe from, e.g., a remaining career with new, even more derogatory call signs and having to recount it in every bar they ever visit.
