Just watched #Imstillhere What a movie, and brilliantly acted (especially Fernanda Torres - understated but acute), directed, and filmed. It should win all the awards. Magnificent. Totally absorbed from start to finish. Ray of hope - dictatorships are eventually overthrown.

When the task of the day is clearing out the cellar. Oh the brick dust. Buried memories. My first ever SLR manual camera (I'm old) with lenses & filters, all my darkroom equipment from the days when I understood exactly what it took to make a photo, not just point my phone camera

Just been to see #Oedipus with Mark Strong and Lesley Manville. Astonishing performances. I have seen stellar acting before but they were off the scale !!

It is my understanding that a wait for heterosexual couples is to see if they can manage it on their own. You can wait a century and lesbians won't be able to. No sperm (spelt out for those at the Daily Mail who seem to have no idea). It simply acknowledges basic biology, it's not 'queue' jumping.
The @DailyMailUK is attacking plans not to require lesbians have sex with men before having access to IVF on the NHS. Are they
a) homophobic and need calling out?
b) utterly stupid and haven't thought through publishing this bile
c) all of the above

Trans men and lesbians get IVF priority ahead of straight couples
Under the controversial proposals, trans men - those born as women who now identify as men - will be automatically assumed to be unable to conceive, as will lesbians and single women.

Watching Partygate. Brings it all back. Sickening. Reminds me how loathsome our government is. And how noble our NHS was. I know who is deserving of a pay deal, and it sure aint a Tory Downing Street.
