Really enjoyed writing my first Chemistry World story on this great Green Chemistry paper! It's exciting to see the progress researchers are making in developing sustainable polymers for real-world applications -- they are definitely on the right track!
Seed oil from Brassica Carinata, a crop that can be grown on unused land as a winter cover crop. Researchers from the University of Florida used it to make polymers that biodegrade in a useful way.
