I have conflicting feelings about how both The Long Walk and The Running Man adaptations worked for me last year. The studio wants the win, but the Bachman books are so deeply defined by nihilism and the depressing reality of these men.

I can say this pretty definitively, I think The Long Walk is a better novel than The Running Man and I think The Long Walk film is a better movie than Edgar Wright's Running Man and that's just how I feel. Bias and expectations and critical thoughts and whatever.

I had to literally search "Running Man" on Bluesky and find a post where someone had already uploaded the poster so I could easily download it. The only reason this was better than Google is that Bluesky also showed me dick pics and gay porn while I was scrolling through posts that said "man."
I just want to look up an image online and then fucking download it to my phone and instead Google is like "you want to do anything else, right?" Just give me a fucking button to download it you fucking asshole AI fuckers shit town megacorp idiots!

Just because I think it's good to call this out when the show never makes it a big spectacle, but the number of times The Pitt features a scene where multiple, or even exclusively, female/femme characters are the sole medical staff attending patients is really well done.

I'm old enough to remember when racist Papa John was like: "We might have to raise the price of pizza by 25 cents if Obamacare happens." And then literally any shit governor was allowed to just not do Obamacare based on that. Now Republicans want to make everything more expensive for exceptionalism.

Things aren't more expensive because of "inflation" or a disregard for "affordability." Things are expensive because of specific policies that you could rally against @schumer.senate.gov
I really need @schumer.senate.gov to understand that no one is mad that milk prices are up because of inflation, their mad that milk prices are affected by an absolute criminal demon you should be fighting. You're 100% not fighting the guy that's making milk more expensive you fucking idiot.

Both me and the Dem leadership are concerned about Number-Go-Up. The problem is two-fold:
