on the topic of merch, I have so much respect for artists who sell character merch as a living because I imagine that you would need to draw popular characters that you may not particularly care about
sometimes I draw something and think wow id be a great merch artist and then I realize that I dont have what it takes to draw 10+ characters with the same amount of effort lmao
