felt like drawing my zekrom sona and it became a nicer pic than i expected heehee
looking back on fond memories from 3-4 months ago of of loading up a fresh save file for the first ring racers 2.4 beta, unlocking gear 3/vicious mode early and proceeding to get my ass thoroughly kicked by the massive difficulty spike from 2.3

zek's a nice guy but i think he would definitely be the kind of guy to make sure his creation trio knows their place compared to him (especially since he knows they might not be humble enough to play fair in an environment like that)

thinking about zek and wondering if he might artificially limit the reaction time of his body when racing with others to make sure its a fair race

I try to think of Zek as being a lot more of a caring god by comparison, becoming more personally familiar with the mortal experience and not just watching from afar
perhaps him being half zekrom mellowed him out a bit too, allowing him to focus on making an ideal world etc etc

I really love Arceus a lot but it’s very funny how he doesn’t exactly seem to be much of a caring god usually, really everything I’ve read of him paints him as very cold, untrusting and vindictive

there's some really fierce competition from a lot of skilled artists but i really hope my robot master gets into the top 20,,, waiting until january 30th will be tough

it’s super fanservicey but in a genuinely cool way, it references even lots of deeper cuts from more obscure games that I didn’t recognize at the time
plus it’s got insane bosses and its hard mode even gives everything extra mechanics (instead of just only making things do extra damage)

thinking about Rockman 4: Minus Infinity again,,, such a high quality and immense romhack that it kinda ruined other romhacks for me by comparison

It’s very hard to beat MM6’s style of music (even the level select, boss intro and boss fight themes are extremely good in 6) but I think 9’s definitely one of my favs even if it’s not seen as iconic as the first couple of games

even tho I think Megaman 10 is overall a better game, been listening to the OST and I think 9’s blows it out of the water
9 has a lot more attitude in its composure and it just feels a lot more robust in comparison, especially ones like concrete/magma man’s themes imo

this is gonna be the year that I really make a name for myself as a prominent ring racers pack creator, I may not be the fastest spriter but hopefully people enjoy the somewhat irregular character selection I’m planning on bringing (plus zek making his way to more servers would be nice too)

gonna finally have a lot of free time heading into new years so I need to finish my robot master design submission and try to get my zavok/Scolipede sprites into a playable state
I also need to somewhat redo omega-xis, not entirely but. he definitely needs to be a bit larger

it’s always so wild to me that each stage in parappa 2 has a secondary song/melody that you’d only ever hear ingame if you’re nearly about to lose, and then they have that same melodies in the level select even though you could reasonably play the game and never hear them otherwise

I just like going back to that video so I can better imagine what Zek’s voice sounds like for when I’m thinking up scenarios tbh,,, it’s nice to have an oc who actually has a voice attached

me listening to the dissidia golbez voice lines and whenever I even as much as hear the exact grunts used for Zek’s voice I can feel my neurons fire like the wojak pointing image
I sometimes forget that Zek actually has him as a voice claim (tho I think Zek wouldn’t be quite as… exuberant)

ofc zek's base stats are also very comfy imo, heavies feel really nice in time attack now and having a nice mix of good drifts and solid top speed goes a long way

coming back to ring racers after a long hiatus and maybe playing an entirely different game (crossworlds) actually inadvertently helped since im finding tighter and cleaner lines a lot more easily
i still need to derust but thankfully claimed at least a couple plats today with little issue
