Stopped by De’Jonnae’s EQ Fit today in Harwood and I was so impressed!

De’Jonnae started her aerial yoga studio after she was the victim of a crime. Learning aerial sports helped her reconnect with her body. Now she creates space for community to do the same. I love our city ❤️

The time for universal pre-Kindergarten in Baltimore is NOW. As a father and former teacher, I know the profound impact early childhood education can have.

I was proud to join my colleagues and the Early Childhood Advisory Council in demanding better for our littlest citizens.

At a time when people distrust institutions (and Democrats), I was proud to speak with the amazing Baltimore City Democratic State Central Committee.

From registering voters, to leading our grassroots organizing efforts, they are rebuilding faith in local democracy.

Ever wonder what happens when you flush your toilet?

Today, Comptroller Henry and I toured the Back River Waste Water Treatment Plant, which serves over a million households in the Baltimore area. Impressive fact: the water released from this plant is cleaner than the Chesapeake Bay!

Chef Alisha’s journey, from a humble ghost kitchen, to the harbor, to a breathtaking new restaurant in Fells Point, embodies the spirit of Baltimore grit. Our city’s food scene is having a moment and Oleum is a big part. Councilman Parker and I were thrilled to cut the ribbon.

Baltimoreans deserve better from BGE!

That’s why we’re out at the Waverly Farmers Market handing out postcards to demand relief from BGE and The Public Service Commission.

Honored to serve as Grand Marshal for the 50th anniversary of Baltimore PRIDE!

Allyship means showing up—loud, visible, and unwavering. Today, we marched not just in celebration, but in solidarity. Here’s to 50 years of Pride, progress, and power.

I love you Baltimore ❤️

In Baltimore, we are ALL IN for loving and supporting our trans community.

I am proud to stand with MD Safe Haven to say that trans people will not be erased. The Senator Mary Washington Building will provide housing, support and wrap-around services to residents.

Congrats to Graceland Park’s 8th grade class and all of Baltimore’s graduating middle schoolers!

Know this: Your voices matter. Your stories matter. In a moment of national division, Baltimore is united behind our young people.

Love is the greatest quality in leadership.

Grateful to our Budget Chair Danielle McCray who led us with grit and grace. We spent the last week fighting for residents and city workers during intense budget hearings. I could not be more proud of my colleagues and I look forward to passing a budget that reflects our values.

We're back underway, putting the fun in funding our budget.

I couldn't be more excited to see our City Council come together to fight for you. We're standing up for City workers, reigning in overtime spending, and reducing fines and fees on Baltimoreans.

Baltimore’s comeback is powered by our people. Today’s groundbreaking of North American Trade Center proves it: we’re building a City by Baltimore, for Baltimore, with our youth leading the way. Trade schools are key to our City’s future.

Last night I was joined by members of the Trauma Informed Care Taskforce and staff from our hospitals. We are training the hospitals to address trauma together. Baltimore is leading the nation and demonstrating unprecedented unity in addressing this urgent public health crisis.

Last night, the Public Safety and Education Committees hosted their first joint hearing at Edmondson High School.

We heard directly from the community about their summer youth programming needs. Teachers showed up, students spoke out, and our City came together to do big things for our kids

Councilmembers worked a shift alongside sanitation workers. We are committed to improving safety and pay. Oversight means more when we get out and experience the challenges firsthand.

“This work is vital and brutal. These women and men deserve a raise.”

Spent a great day at Tradepoint Atlantic.

With 1,100 new jobs for Longshoremen coming online by 2028, we need to double down on making sure these jobs go to Baltimoreans.

We need to build career pipelines and improve transit to the Port. Also, the tariffs are devastating for this industry.

Baltimore showed up to say Hands Off!

Our city is seeing record declines in violence BECAUSE of our diversity.

While they ban books, we build libraries.

While they seek to divide, we stand united.

Don’t mess with Baltimore!
