We tracked Poles over 3 waves to examine how closeness to Ukrainian refugees and threat perceptions shape each other. Feeling closer reduced both threat types—but only realistic threat (e.g. jobs, services) predicted less closeness over time.

Today at #ISPP2025, I presented our findings on the predictors of pro-Palestinian protest participation, based on both a cross-sectional and a panel study using RI-CLPM. There was no within-person evidence for the extended SIMCA, but norms were a robust predictor of protest.
