What an amazing second album Nightmare Logic is from Power Trip. Tragically this would be Riley Gale's last album due to his death. This album is so raw and powerful, just a great album. #PowerTrip

It's very hard not to compare this sophomore album from Exhorder to another band in the Thrash/Groove metal scene from the early 90's. The Law is a fantastic album if you need that sound! Definitely feel that Exhorder is underappreciated. #Exhorder

Debut album from Denmark's Hellmaze. Album is titled Dead Flesh Rising and is a nice Modern Thrash album. I enjoyed the songs Slave, Killing Time, & K.F.T. and look forward to what they do moving forward. Great sense of humor as well with the song Moshpit Bukkake. #Hellmaze

Think I'll keep the NWOBHM music going. Killers is the last Iron Maiden album with Paul Di'Anno as the lead singer. This sophomore album is outstanding in every way. I do come back to this album quite often, always worth the listen. #IronMaiden

Amazing record, Louder Than Love, that was the precursor to Badmotorfinger. This is my favorite era of Soundgarden because they sounded so heavy. Big Dumb Sex is a standout on this one. #Soundgarden

New album from Poppy dropped today titled Empty Hands. I think a lot of her fans will be happy with this album. I really liked the songs Guardian, Dying To Forget, & Eat The Hate. Solid album. #Poppy

Keeping the trash going with Death Angel. Such a great band with lots of great songs. Frolic Through The Park is their sophomore album and is not necessarily beloved by the band. I think it sounds great! #DeathAngel

Sepultura and the album Schizophrenia. I think this album gets slept on because the next 4 albums are so great. That time frame of the 80's has a lot of great metal albums that helped define a genre. #Sepultura

Changing gears a little with some Deathcore from the band Ov Sulfur. The new album is Endless and it's fantastic. I've been listening to Vast Eternal for a while now since it was on their EP from late last year. Definitely worth the listen! #OvSulfur

I'm going to go with the second album under the name Lamb of God. The self titled Burn The Priest album is technically the first album but I'm going with the actual albums after the name change. That said, this album is so heavy! #LambOfGod

Taking Over by Overkill is the second studio album and was released in 1987. Overkill has always been an underrated band in my opinion. They consistently put out new music and are tour dogs! Wrecking Crew and In Union We Stand are standouts on this. #Overkill

I love Testament so much. Their sophomore album is The New Order and has a ton of great songs on it. This band can do no wrong for me and has continually put out great records. They also have one of my fav guitarists in @alexskolnick.bsky.social #Testament

Hell Awaits by Slayer is their second album as I'm not including EP'S in my description of Sophmore albums. I'm really looking at the studio albums more than anything. With that said, what a huge improvement from their first album a sign of things to come from Slayer for sure. #Slayer #Resolution

Peace Sells...but Who's Buying? feels just as raw as the first album from Megadeth. It's still one of my favorites from them and has all that fire and anger that really made me love this band. Most folks know Peace Sells from this but Devils Island is a banger! #Megadeth
