Knowledge proofs are actually the most fundamentally secure authenticator - hidden in the mind as opposed to on a glass - we just don’t store, select, and communicate them well.
I think there is far to much legacy tech and mindset to just jump to a passwordless world.
I wonder what the adoption rate of passwordless Microsoft accounts is as it appears having that is a requirement for abusing this…also, if there’s a flow to roll back to an old password for “convenience”.
