Lots of sources of mutual aid for Minneapolis can be found here. I hear food banks are covered but people need money for rent etc if they can’t work right now. linktr.ee/mplsmutualaid

If there's one empirical insight I'd want everyone to understand about American politics, it's this:

America's problems are solved problems. Just not here.

What would change if the US simply matched the average of 31 peer democracies? Not Denmark or Norway. Just the middle of the pack. 🧵

Under President Trump, the EPA will stop considering lives saved when setting pollution limits and instead calculate only the cost to businesses. It’s counter to the agency’s mission statement, which says has a core responsibility to protect human health and the environment. nyti.ms/3Loch27

Mike Zamore of ACLU on the anti-Trans legislation. “But this bill also creates an incredibly dangerous precedent far beyond the specific care at issue, criminalizing care based on ideology and placing Washington politicians between families and their doctors.”

The Alzheimer's drug Leqembi:

- Is administered through an infusion (for example, through the hand)
- Can cause swelling, bleeding, or fluid leakage in the brain, requiring regular MRIs
- Can cause tiredness

Curious. 🤔

We encountered an ICE immigration enforcement action on Park Ave. in Minneapolis today. When my colleague Ben Hovland and I arrived there were only a couple observers, but there were dozens blowing whistles by the time ICE agents left without making an arrest.

Lots of protesting is happening! But this article also points out that the boycotts etc may be even more powerful…and more needed!
@djpressman.bsky.social, Soha Hammam, and I draw on our research through the Crowd Counting Consortium to show that there is far more protest happening in the US than is commonly understood, and that the shift to economic noncooperation shows powerful potential for future collective action.
Resistance is alive and well in the United States
Protests of Trump may not look like the mass marches in 2017, but they're far more numerous and frequent — and also becoming more strategic.

Reminder: They're trying to demoralize you, and they're doing a great job of it. Part of resisting is making time for joy despite the attempts to make you feel this is not the time for it. Love your people. Dig the art that speaks to you. Go to the places where life flows into you. You deserve joy.
