Here's some Calgary Wild news: they've announced the departure of Northern Ireland GK Jackie Burns.
I think we all expect to see Max Piepgrass return to @cplcavalryfc.bsky.social but will it be under a USPORTS contract or under a standard pro deal? Also, they retained Owen Antoniuk's rights. Could he be part of the solution for depth up front? Never really got a chance in 2025.

Originally we were going to record a new podcast episode on the weekend. Then we planned for Mon night. But since we knew there would be more @cplcavalryfc.bsky.social news coming, we are waiting and will do our usual Thurs night record and Fri morning release.

Now that we've heard about @cplcavalryfc.bsky.social departures, we should see announcements about new signings soon. Last week I was able to confirm that 3 players have signed with the club. I'd expect announcements this week. Even after those signings, there are still roster spots open.

It made sense at the time...
I don't see Klomp, Didic and Montgomery all on the Cavalry roster. Reasons would be both football and salary cap related. So unless Klomp is being transferred elsewhere (there is no evidence or rumour of this) that would mean Montgomery is the odd man out.
