How was your December electric bill? Mine was a -$37 due credit payments I receive for sending more solar power to the grid than I use from them at night. This year it was over 2400 kWhs. Monthly, I pay a $27 minimum charge. That's all!

Tell me solar is NOT a good deal!

Did you see the History Channel series "How The States Got Their Shapes"? Interesting information on how state lines were drawn and why. And why the borders of western states were so different.

Is it time to redraw those lines by population to better represent all citizens in the Senate!

Again, Trump is meeting with world leaders at his South Florida "social club". How safe are they? Chinese spies were able to access the property during the first Trump administration. And, only the Secret Service know show to protect anyone.

No world leader should even consider going there!

How long will she be out of the White House? That's the important question.

So why do white Christian men push for women to stay home and raise their children but women can work in the White House. Quite a double standard!

Here's the Christmas weather forecast in NW Florida. Most of the northern gulf coast will have similar temps. Stay warm everyone! I'll be barbequing my Christmas dinner.

If you're a highly skilled high school athlete about to get an NIL deal/full ride scholarship, would you risk your health participating in Trump's Patriot Games? No coach from the school they signed with will allow it.

But, I'm sure there will be many MAGA children willing to risk their future.

DHS Barbie (Kristi Noem) has posted that the US is ending the green card program that allowed the Brown U. killer into the US.

Many doctors, scientists, and college professors come to the US to supplement the shortage of these professionals. How many people will die because there were no doctors?

So, is Trump trying to bribe the military to keep them loyal? Is it legal?

AI says:
"large, one-time payments like the recent $1,776 "Warrior Dividend" typically involve congressional approval via the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). "

Ford just announced that their "destination and delivery charge" by $600 from $1995 to $2595.

I guess the new standards for semi-drivers in the US has made it more costly too ship new vehicles. Less trucks available= higher prices.

You can thank Trump for that one!

I thought Trump was such a great builder, he could control costs and get construction done ahead of schedule? I'm hoping he never lives to see it open!

Walmart is paying most tariffs and trying to save in other areas of their operation. This morning, they left the heat off, especially in the dairy and fresh meat departments. I froze!

With an outside temp in the 30s, I didn't want to keep my coat on but gloves were needed. Just crazy!

Why can't the Republicans just admit that most of the Affordable Care Act works for this country? I remember when people stayed with one employer their whole life to maintain coverage over their preexisting conditions or that of a family member. They sacrificed a better career for their family.

Did you know this?

Per USA Today:

'Michele Singer was a one-time photographer who captured the image of Donald Trump that appears on the cover of his book "Trump: The Art of the Deal."'

And Trump still made those nasty comments. Truly pathetic!

Speaking as a US citizen, how do we prove we are a citizen? I carry my driver's license and voter registration card. Is that enough?

As a divorce woman, my birth certificate would not work. Besides, I don't want to carry all those official documents on me at all times.

This is what happens when your military is run by incompetent people and you try to invade a country not causing issues.

People are going to get killed and heads will roll!

As we need more young workers to shore up the Social Security system, so many are being shot and killed going to school at every level.

Vietnam left us with a generation of fewer men than women. School shootings will rob us of an entire generation.

Support laws that restrict guns. Guns kill!

Washington Week with The Atlantic has a great lineup of commentators tonight. Jeffrey Goldberg is joined by Vivian Salama, Susan Glasser, Anne Applebaum, and Amna Nawaz. Such talented and experienced female reporters!

Not sure Stephanie Ruhle can beat this lineup but I'll be watching!

The Republicans forget that before the ACA, people who retired at 62 or become disabled but were not awarded Social Security disability, had to buy a private insurance plan. And, most often, it did not cover most of their preexisting conditions.

Tell me how the ACA is so much worse than that?

Since this government is now blowing up boats of suspected (no hard proof) drug smugglers, banning people from certain countries, scrutinizing Visa applications, etc. why would any international sports agency bring their contests to the USA?

Move all the FIFA games to Canada and Mexico. Maybe

$1B to add fitness centers to airports? I got my exercise running from one terminal to another or out to get a rental car.

Only testosterone damaged brains would come up with this asinine idea! Where will they shower? No one wants to sit on a plane for hours next to someone with horrible BO!

It would be helpful if all you nationally known writers would review Bluesky posts before you post the same stories over and over and over!

I see this same thing happen in my local Facebook feed because so many people think they are more important than anyone else.

You're better than that!

Somebody post on "X" that Jimmy Kimmel got a 1-year extension contract. Trump will love that!

I'm not sure but I think he went only 1 year because he has been talking about retiring for quite a while. I'm certain losing his friend and band leader has made that job harder for him.

You want to fix the "affordability" issue? End all the tariffs Trump has enacted since he retook office. We were heading towards lower inflation and lower interest rates. He blew it all up!
