I just wanted to use this cool new logo as a chance to do a little "teachable moment" thing and share my logo design knowledge with y'all
I ADORE the new Stoat logo. The more I look at it, the better it is.

But I have one small problem with it: The dark mode version.
The new Stoat Logo (1) is very, very good! It's distinct, simple, memorable and most importantly: Very cute. However, there's one issue with it, and that's the "Dark Mode" version of it. When it needs to be shown on a dark background, the logo is just inverted (2) which makes sense at a first glance, but the shading on the neck & inside the ears now looks janky, and the eyes are now lasers. It does the logo a real disservice. A solution to this would be keeping the stoat white, but putting a transparent outline between it and the bounding box. (3) This keeps the shape visible on a darker background without losing the details! Figure 1 is the new Stoat logo, a cutout of a stoat. Figure 2 is the same logo inverted. And figure 3 is a modification of the logo, instead of cutting it out, there is a dark outline separating it from it's bounding box.

His Kart, a Pipe Frame, has a red frame, blue wheels and green joints connecting the wheels. Anabel is winking and cutely pointing with both hands to the sides. Her Kart, also a Pipe Frame, has a pink frame and indigo joints that connect the black tires to her kart. BUT! Afar into the curve, if you really make the effort to see there, it's Alonso (male shape of Yop) riding on the Pipe Frame, too! Seems like he's taking the curve with a boost.

A representation of IRL Yop, also through Maddel_art's Picrew. The hair of real Yop, as well as the eyes, are slightly darker-toned, and so is the skin. Yop has longer, fluffier hair, and the face also has some facial hair growing (which I HATE, I WANNA REMOVE IT SO BADLY BUT THE FUCKING THING GROWS BACK SO SOON IT'S ALMOST UNFAIR, LIKE HOW CAN YOU EVEN COMPETE AGAINST IT, IT'S UNFAIR, IT'S BULLSHIT) To represent the style a bit better, Yop's wearing an orange shirt with a design.

I was only in the process of adding a profile photo, yet I received an email claiming that my account was “spam” and that it was “causing harm.” What kind of logic is this? The painful truth is that the account was shut down the moment it became clear it was created from inside Gaza. It seems we are no longer allowed to write or speak about what is happening to us here. They are not afraid of content itself, but of our voices and the reality we carry with us. Millions are spent to silence these voices and to erase the truth. I am exhausted by this platform and by how our photos and videos, which document real suffering, are treated as “violations of community standards,” as if pain itself has become a crime. What is happening is not simple moderation or policy enforcement. It is an attempt to erase our existence and bury the truth. And honestly, this is shameful and unbearably painful.
