i have a(n actually somewhat reasonable) fear that a chinese diaspora author will write my favourite historical figure (eunuch)(evil)(deeply hated) into their work in a really butchered way to a large clueless audience which taints his image in the anglosphere forever and i have to bear with this

Sooooo tired of books presented as court intrigue but there aren't any eunuchs in it. Get a grip. Without eunuchs there wouldn't even be an Alexandria. Eunuchs were getting passed around in imperial courts like the mandate of heaven. Shut up.
