This poor boy has not had breakfast this morning, because he has a heart scan later. He does not understand, but he's still purring at me 🥺

Black Forest flavour hot chocolate with cocoa whip from Hotel Chocolat. An indulgent few minutes to myself at a time with lots of things going on.

Cats

Today, my eldest is 21 - Pen-blwydd Hapus, Zeph!

It is for my eldest child's 21st birthday On a magnolia-coloured wall hangs a banner spelling out 'Happy 21 Birthday' in assorted shades of purple for the letters, a grey '2' and a turquoise '1'. The letters and numbers are made of felt by me many years ago, and this year it is hung up to celebrate my eldest child's birthday.

My kids just got back from a trip to Edinburgh and they bought me some presents 🥰
Holiday presents my children bought me from their recent trip to Edinburgh - on a pine table lies a purple hardback book with Celtic designs on it in shimmery silver, it is titled Scotland the Strange: weird tales from storied lands. Above it are 2 colourful postcards, one with a row of colourful tall houses each with a black cat on its roof and some bubblegum-pink trees in the foreground. The other postcard is a purple vase with purple flowers in it and a black cat peeking out on the left hand side. Finally to the side of the book is a coaster which as tuxedo cat sitting upright (looking very like one of my cats, Roman), the background of the coaster is some red flowers, blue flowers and feather-type leaves.

Day trip to Whitby was fun today 😊

Sunday breakfast after a 10k run: warm croissants with butter and apricot jam, and fresh coffee 😊

Breakfast at Heppni Bakeri - sweet and savoury pastries were sampled. Drinks were mocha, dirty chai and Charlie Kigali (mocha with ginger shot). Absolutely delicious food and drink and womderfully friendly service ☺

Sul y Mamau Hapus! My wonderful children gifted me this beautiful marble pestle and mortar - they know I have wanted one forever 😍
It's a small, dark grey marble pestle and mortar, with a raven motif on a white circle on the mortar. It's on a purple, black and red striped temperature blanket that my son crocheted last year. This is my Mother's Day present from both my sons and I love it, and them of course. They know I have wanted a pestle and mortar forever.

Always think ahead when writing your child's name on their bag...
It is a row of pegs, such as in a primary school for children to hang their backpacks. One such backpack is a pink, Disney Princess design. Visible on the top of the bag are the letters H A R L O T, (presumably part of the name Charlotte), written in marker. Somebody needed to think ahead to what part of the ame would be visible in this situation.
