so I've heard, apparently there's been some serious problems with URLSearchParams not being supported in internet explorer 11, which causes a script error from login.live.com/oauth20_desk... which is really funny to me.

sometimes I really just feel like i'm experiencing the .net effect

just the unending crust of .net 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0's legacy

So let me get this straight, If I set the authentication method of a XFR NS (usually 0), then I set that to a non-zero value, the value gets discarded just to call a function named GetAutoReconnectInfo, which just copies data to repopulate the authentication info. Finally, it sets a retry flag.
Why?

Unlike Longhorn Build 4074, Longhorn Build 4053's Play Games With Friends seems to work surprisingly well, even detecting missing games instead of instantly failing.

Weird thing about this build is that there's a timebomb for the USB audio driver where it just stops working after it expires.

they would add that specifically only in the version of windows messenger (msmsgs branch) in longhorn to open something that uses a xaml window [1]

oh did i mention that this uses a scrapped messenger feature to invite more than one user to join a activity? [2]

yeah so sometimes you just find out the most random things possible got MSN Messenger DLC, including Sonic The Hedgehog (2006).

sometimes i just manage to "nice understanding of powerpc you've got there, you sell?" myself because i barely have even looked at a powerpc disassembler of any kind

...or really any disassembler for a reasonable amount of time, to be honest.

huh.

fun fact: Windows Live Messenger 9.0 (or it's release counterpart, 14.0, or most MSNP16+ clients if you include third party ones) checks for the string "goawyplzthxbye" or "gtfo", and if such is received via a UBM command with the type of 4, instantly disconnect from the main server.

love when i read documentation that may as well of been a redirect to another page that doesn't answer my question

the woes of trying to care about 20 year old software as a coping mechanism

my definition of humour is repeating the phrase ".net passport" over and over to someone to drive them to insanity in vein that it activates a sleeper agent inside of them to write about XML for 12 hours without sleeping

I almost forgot, when going through Microsoft's documentation a while back, I found the best tip block I've seen in my life.

This is really on there, by the way.

why does the Microsoft® Account Dynamic Link Library (formerly Microsoft® Windows Live ID Dynamic Link Library (formely IDCRL Dynamic Link Library)) "msidcrl40.dll" (Version 10.0.19041.3636) have a PE compile time of the exact date the Nintendo Family Computer ("Famicom") released?

Fun fact: The release build of Windows Live Messenger (8.0.0787) was built at 12:38 UTC on the date of 06/06/2006 (06/06/06).

That means if you had a timezone of UTC+1, the timestamp would be 13:38 at 06/06/2006. So close to being 13:37, only just had it been built a minute faster...

"Oops resistant" is now part of my vocabulary.

It was so dumb, I just had to. I laughed at it.
