So, are there no truly free podcast hosting services left besides Anchor? I clearly remember that Acast, Spreaker, and a couple of others used to be free.

A deep cleanup of ProxyFeed yeldar.org/blog/proxyfe...

I still can't get podping to work in @proxyfeed.io. I was working on some small tasks today and for the first time, I realized I should start keeping a devlogs/blog or smth.

Why does SoundCloud add two <atom:link>'s to RSS? WHY?!

Working on @proxyfeed.io taught me more than any online programming course, and I continue to work on it. Next I'm going to create a new "podcast player", but it will be a new approach to "consuming" content.

Yesterday I was looking for a list of “programmer’s bibles” — ended up downloading two classics. Started reading them and honestly... can’t put them down: The Twelve-Factor App and The Pragmatic Programmer.

The actual first podcast was a Grateful Dead song in 2001 which I used to test Radio UserLand which was the first software to implement podcasting.

There's a film documentary coming out soon and I believe they have a bit about that, so maybe that'll get on the record. :-)

When I was building @proxyfeed.io, I tested it on my own feeds. Now that new feeds are coming in — ones I didn’t create myself — I discovered that ProxyFeed wasn’t setting the correct .

Fixed: now the correctly points to the ProxyFeed URL instead of the original feed.

It’s important to be clear about one thing: ProxyFeed.io is, first and foremost, a stable feed URL. Your RSS feed never changes — even if you change hosts. Everything else — Podcasting 2.0 tags, caching, feed enhancements — is built on top of that foundation yeldar.org/blog/proxyfe...

I built ProxyFeed.io — a tool that gives your podcast (or any RSS feed) a permanent, stable URL, no matter how often your hosting changes. It enhances your feed with Podcasting 2.0 features, supports custom subdomains: yeldar.org/blog/proxyfe...
