Someone I know who I thought was at least 55 recently had a birthday. He asked me, “how old do you think I am”? To be nice, I dropped 10 years from the age I thought he was. I said “45”. Why did this man just turn 41. I’m gonna stop answering that question for good.

I can deal with many mispronunciations, however, pronouncing the “s” in Illinois provokes the nastiest parts of my spirit.

My neighbor & I have been beefing because he lets his HUGE dogs loose & they sprint through & tear up my yard. He promised he’d control them, yet today I find a heaping pile of s*** sitting in my yard by the driveway… we’re fighting tomorrow morning. We shall. Me must.
