...I am getting increasingly upset while trying to make Project Arid.

The concept of the story is something I want to keep, since I announced it already, but I think I might have to rethink how I want to continue - boxed in by the description I gave or letting the ink flow freely from the pen.

Just wanted to let my plans for my game be a bit more transparent. I'm going to work on a sandbox mode before I work on the actual campaign part. This will let me get gameplay down and push something enjoyable to mess with while I work more.

Still working on the shader... Only another... 80-ish percent left to go.

Yeah not gonna lie it feels like I might have bitten off a BIT more than I can chew. I'm still going at it though. I refuse to give up and I want to get done with it asap.

You know, this seems rather small to be as excited as I am, but I finally got masking textures to work. What you see here is a noise texture with my logo as a masked texture slapped on top. This is gonna be so good for when I get everything working.

I have an update on my coding situation.

I decided to rewrite my movement code from scratch.

It was worth it. I now have proper movement.
Adding in the remaining features to make a video on it.
