Yesterday, I was proud to speak alongside Mayor Gorton at the opening of the @faulknermorgan.bsky.social’s Queer, Here, & Everywhere Exhibit at the Lexington Public Library.

As a lifelong lover of stories, libraries, and the city I call home, it was a deeply moving moment for me. 🧵👇

Happy Derby Weekend! 🐎 While extravagant hats have become synonymous with the event, none, however, are quite as show-stopping as Robert Morgan's "Pegasus." Made in 2004, this hat is created in the same assemblage style as Morgan's other sculptures/

We say engine and motor interchangeably, but did you know that they are not the same?
The main difference is an Engine runs on combustion, while a motor runs on electricity. Engines contain their own fuel source to create motion, while a motor draws on an external source.

In 1970, Marjorie Jones and Tracey Knight held their wedding at The Living Room Bar—after being denied a marriage license in Louisville. They were the first lesbian couple in the country to sue for a marriage license. Their case went to trial—Jones v. Hallahan—in 1971, gaining national attention.
