Long term annual dwelling completions per capita and comparable countries show that levels of supply are not associated significantly with runaway prices (or that migration is to blame).

Annual dwelling completions per capita in Australia have remained relatively stable over the last 25 years. They are also higher than in some other OECD countries with more limited affordability challenges, showing supply side constraints are only a limited factor in prices.

US resolution against torture was rejected by three countries. The first one funds the other two. They are US, Israel and Argentina. We live in interesting times! 🤔

It can be argued that having a small population has been an economic disadvantage on a national level. Would it not be wise for Australia (and countries like Australia) to invest in domestic AI capabilities to improve global competitiveness and reduce the limitations of our small population? 🤔

You can be a Nazi or literally strip someone’s Jewishness from them and get a pass, but criticize Israel and you are “antisemitic“, disappeared into a prison, and your green card revoked. Moral Pretzels. Bent.

A Jewish man pulled up to another car, got out, and unloaded 17 bullets to try to kill two strangers because he thought they were Palestinian. The victims then blamed Arabs.

Where's the prime time coverage? The congressional hearings? The ADL?
Jewish Man Allegedly Shot Two Israelis He Thought Were Palestinian in Confused Hate Crime Where Both Victim and Culprit Blamed Arabs
The shooting only underscores the vastly different ways US institutions have responded to reports of antisemitism versus anti-Palestinian or anti-Arab hate.

“Are we 51% good or 51% evil?
There is plenty of evidence for both sides of this debate, but I think we’re split down the middle. Humans are incredibly adaptive and will do whatever is required to survive in their environment. The environment we create will determine what prevails.”

The perversity. If someone intentionally set fire to a national park, destroying unique, public lands, they risk up to 21 years in jail as an arsonist. How can it be that when a salmon corporation destroy unique, public waters, it is rewarded with more public waters to destroy?
