I've calmed down. Hate that yesterday happened. Hate we ended up with Straw's contract and more international money for little purpose. Hopefully they can make use of it, not going to pretend to know anything about the international kids. Back to praying for a Vladdy extension. Go Jays.

If Sasaki is really concerned about being considered one of the greatest of all time, bringing the Jays back from the dead would be a great starting point. This is me talking myself into something that will definitely not happen.... again.

I like the Hoffman signing. Really helps the bullpen. Can't help but be slightly nervous that they're right near the first luxury tax threshold already with big holes still. #BlueJays

The Jays can't go to arb with Vlad again, unless they're conceding he's gone. Even just agreeing on a 1 year deal then hoping you can sign him as a FA. Just can't imagine that will help an already unstable relationship.

That sportsnet article from Shi might have just killed any hope I had for the Jays this year. Here's hoping they can pull off some decent moves, but that sucked to read.

The fact that I have somewhat tuned out the Leafs and focused my fandom on the Jays off-season makes me think I don't actually like sports and instead I like business. Then I see a clip of the 7th inning 2015 ALDS and remind myself, nah, I like the sports.

I would look at 1-2 year deals for Turnbull, Verdugo, and Grichuk. Don't panic and pivot to Santander unless you can get a 1-2 year deal as well.

The way the Jays fans, myself included, have jumped at the throat of this front office every time another team does signs an FA that the Jays are in on is honestly a little silly. But fans being fans is allowed, and this isn't just because we've missed big this year. They haven't built a good team.

I like to think I'm fairly optimistic about the Jays, and that 340 million dollar offer to Vlad probably isn't far off his value, but offer that right after offering Soto 600+ million, when Soto is likely going to be 1B/DH in the next 5-10 years doesn't seem like the best move by this front office.
