perplexity gave a good start for why a country would want to leave the EU. It was saying cumbersome red tape and not getting a ROI enough on bailout or propped up countries among others.
I hope its a benevolent version of that which still stands against axis powers.

Avi Loeb TedTalk on aliens is interesting because his quote "finding big evidence requires big funding". So unless they interject, we have to spend $$ to find them. Do we want to find them culturally? Or would we rather they be military targets to investigate?
