call it what you want but i loathe the fact that the definition of "basic" computer knowledge has gone from knowing the file explorer, how to tinker with simple things like the wallpaper and default programs, etc. to literally just being able to use a browser. how the fuck did we get that low

there are people who use real notebooks. there are people who use something like Obsidian or other GUI note taking. there are people who take markdown notes, convert it to html, then serve it locally. then people like me who just use plain text like fucking lunatics.
