It's insane how excited I am to have a new job where they had to warn me in the interview that I'll definitely be encountering blood and bits of bone. They also had to ask if I would be cool being in the morgue. And I'm working overnights, like a Real Vampire.

I have so many books on my TBR, but I've stalled out on the murder mystery I'm 80% through and I can't start another book till I'm done. But I also can't force myself to fucking finish this book! It's not bad! I'm enjoying it! Just. Finish. It.

Some day, we'll have our own place again, and on that day, I am going to relish not having to hear someone talk about me on the phone to other people all the time. Even when she's saying nice things, every bit of our movements gets reported to the old lady gossip chain. 🙄

My phone has been dead for days. I finally got a new one, so now I can post about how an older guy at the cell phone store hit on me because I was wearing Justin's Bauhaus shirt. He seemed impressed I knew about them? I'm not as young as you thought I was, sir, I promise you!

Redyed my hair and it's brighter red than I'm used to. I'm unsure of it. Sarah told me I look like Jean Grey and that might be the best compliment I've gotten since someone told me I looked like Liv Tyler in high school. 🥺

Five year old knows so much about Alien and xenomorphs. 🥰 He's never seen the movie, but it's my favorite, so he's absorbed so much info just by existing near me. Some day, I'll get to show it to him and that day is going to be super awesome.

Husband is gone for the night, so I'm watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I think I've seen this movie more than any other, except maybe Wayne's World. When I was bored at my first job, I used to recite all the lines from RHPS in my mind from start to finish.

I never remember that my Fear and Loathing DVD case also holds the DVD of Baseketball. It's always such a wonderful surprise on the rare occasions I open this case. I can almost forgive my mom's awful dog for eating the original case.

We've been back in Missouri for almost five years at this point, and I have finally succeeded in combining time with my high school BFF and my college BFF. Now, all three of us are hanging out together all the time, and it gives me SO. MUCH. JOY.

Son is playing a boss battle in a video game he and Justin have been playing. It is KILLING Justin to have to watch Son do it so slowly when he knows he could have murdered this giant fox ten minutes ago. 😂
