LEN KRUGER | 13 CHILD PSYCHIATRIST: THE TELEVISION SERIES LEN KRUGER THIS IS NOT ABOUT A PSYCHIATRIST who treats children. This is about a child who is a mental health professional, a twelve-year-old prodigy, the Mozart of psychiatrists. The opening title sequence sets the tone: "You sound upset, Amer-ica!" the Child Psychiatrist will say, the voice clear and angelic, the eyes wide and innocent. "How do you feel about that?" The year is 2025, fifty years into the future. Flying cars. Housekeeper robots wearing aprons. Sparkling cities on 30,000-foot stilts, gently tickling the clouds. But all is not well. The world's supply of chromium and molybdenum has been exhausted, and steel is not what it used to be. Corrosive forces roam the land, rusting out not only ferrous alloys, but the very soul of America. Anxiety and self-doubt course through the body politic. Paranoia abounds. Religious cults proliferate. Conspiracy theories metastasize. Enter: The Child Psychiatrist. His pre-teen demeanor soothes. His plain-spoken analysis illuminates.
