Latest collection I’ve completed. I really enjoyed this one. Josie and Bob looked to have been a loving couple. After putting this together I feel like I really got to know them. Lots of #peterborough history to! #bakerperkins archivespeterborough.org.uk/calmview/Rec...

Just bought this for the archive. We have a lot of film reels and don’t even know what’s on them. This little projector is just a temporary solution. We’re hoping to discover what’s on the reels and then apply for grants. Still need a 15mm one. #archives #film #history

Dear Academia.edu,
I have a doctorate in history. Big deal. I was going to go into academia but realised I didn't 'fit' their ideal. I am now stuck with a years subscription to this site (academia.edu) because it auto renewed. (1/2)

Working on a Cataloguing project (to do with the libraries and museum of Peterborough 1971) and came across some correspondence from the Nene Detective Agency. They were hired to track down a missing library book! I won’t tell you how it turned out. You’ll have to come in a see for yourself

My history talk went wonderful yesterday. The weirdest feedback comment was that I shouldn’t have needed notes… 45mins of talking and no notes. Would be nice I guess but I need notes or else I ramble off topic and make jokes which may or may not be crude.

Giving my talk for the Archives in half an hour. I’m a tad nervous. Old Age Pensioners can be a rowdy crowd 😎

2 down, 52 more to go. There are a number of years where the Bulletin was issued quarterly. The early ones will be the easiest b/c of how they’re bound. Hard spines on the most recent ones
Latest upload of the #BulletinArchives. Winter 1984/85, No 6 has articles examining the history of district nursing in the Isle of Man, the hospitals in Luton and Dunstable and the changing provision for sick children in Liverpool since 1850. #histnursing bulletin.ukahn.org/winter-1984-...

Someone made a bit of stink with HR because I include ‘Dr’ when signing off an email. It’s only ever on the first email for introductions as it’s more formal. ‘Why does she call herself dr?’ 🧐

And finally panel 4 of @ukahn.bsky.social #colloquium2025. Somewhere out there is a picture of me, the last presenter of the event. I had such a wonderful time and, as always, learned so much. #histnursing is a diverse and inclusive branch of history. Check out www.UKAHN.org for more info
