1/2 Yesterday, we lost one of our greatest souls. Manchan came to Borris the first year in 2012 and most years since, sharing profundity and levity, outpourings of wisdom, story, curiosity, concern and laughter.

I got this in the post yesterday. No note in the envelope, no return address.

His name is Sir Quacks-a-lot, we gave him away for a few years as a prize on my last daytime show on RTE2fm before I came to @rtegold.bsky.social.

No idea why anyone would do this after (at least) 10 years.
