OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Packers not only lost to Denver but DB Micah Parsons as well. The Packers problems us that they are losing playmakers as they try to make a playoff run. That doesn't bode well.
The Packers also lost the game, 34-26, and their hold on first place in the NFC North.

And LaFleur, who has coached more aggressively as of late, lost a golden opportunity to quiet the noise surrounding his status.

A surreal Sunday wobbled the Packers — and raised the stakes for Matt LaFleur
In a brutal loss in Denver, the Packers' coach lost his best defender, and a golden opportunity to quiet the noise.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Bills beat the Patriots yesterday to avenge an earlier loss in the season. With the Chiefs numerically and officially out of the playoffs, it is now time for the Bills to make their move toward the Super Bowl. Whether that happens, time will only say.
The quarterback's status will be among the many questions facing this team as it enters uncharted waters in the Mahomes era.

For starters, the Kansas City Chiefs are no longer the team to beat in the AFC, or even the AFC West.

What we learned in NFL Week 15: Bills looked primed for playoffs, new reality for Chiefs
Plus, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams inched a little closer to earning their respective conference’s No. 1 seeds.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Chiefs will not go to the playoffs this year for the first time in years. This team mired mostly in mediocrity this season will finally cease taking up space in the AFC playoffs and the Super Bowl. Finally, we will get a real playoff slate this year in the AFC.
Patrick Mahomes is looking at roughly eight to 12 months of recovery, which will put his availability at the start of the 2026 season in jeopardy.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: I have postulated that the Chiefs collapse really began in last season's Super Bowl and has extended into this season. Their playmakers like Kelce arent always able to play. Their offense can get points but not wins. The Big Red Machine as I call them is now The Big Dead Machine.
With tonight's loss, the Chiefs only have a 16% chance to make the playoffs.

Is this the end of Kansas City's postseason streak.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Indianapolis Colts dream season is turning into a nightmare. Tough losses to Pittsburgh, Kansas City and now Jacksonville along with the loss of QB Daniel Jones for the season have turned the Colts from an object of envy to one of pity.
Mark this day in Colts history — one of the worst in recent memory. Dec. 7, 2025, was the day another Colts season likely came to an end in Duval County.

Though the regular season of Final Cut The Podcast wrapped early this year, I recently did a special interview episode with filmmaker Rolfe Kanefsky about a documentary he is currently working on and a film of his out on streaming now.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: A surprise thriller, the Denver/ Washington SNF game was a taut, tough, effective offensive battle that went to overtime. Marcus Mariota probably had one of the best games of his career as a QB only to lose. Impressive game against one of the better AFC teams this year.
Treylon Burks, the 2022 Titans first-round pick many deemed a bust after only 27 games in Tennessee, reeled in a one-handed touchdown catch that garnered comparisons to Odell Beckham Jr.’s famous catch for the Giants in 2014.

Beckham himself took notice and weighed in on X.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Carolina Panthers are a schizophrenic team: effective one week, lousy the next.
Last week against the 49ers they looked sloppy a n d haphazard. This week they defeated the Rams, the NFC's best team by playing disciplined and aggressive. Will the real Panthers team show up?

My latest piece on Final Cut is an item noting the release of Video Store: The Movie aka Tomorrow by Midnight, a lost film which hadn't made its domestic debut until recently.
Check out the story.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: Apparently a hot dog restaurant had promised free hot dogs to Bears fans if the team won. The Bears use of their running backs to wear down the Eagles defense on Friday left Philadelphia fried as Chicago won yet another game. I guess it's Hot Dogs for all-Courtesy the Bears.
Kyle Monangai and D'Andre Swift are the first Bears duo to rush for 100+ yards in 40 years.

Walter Payton and Matt Suhey last accomplished this feat in 1985.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: If there is a visual metaphor of the improved Dallas Cowboys, it might be George Pickens leaping jump over a player as Dallas beat the former Super Bowl champs 31 to 28. This much talked about game turned out to be a eye catching, close contest until the end.
The Cowboys beat both the Eagles and Chiefs in less than a week, keeping Dallas' playoff hopes alive 💪
November 29, 2025 at 5:48 PM
OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Green Bay Packers are not fantbut a facade. Their defense which looked like potential menace got exposed by Dallas early this season i noted that the offense had to lead the way for GB and this was one game where they did. Effective pass plays helped beat Detroit.
Only two QBs in Packers history have thrown four TD passes on Thanksgiving:

◽️ Jordan Love
◽️ Brett Favre

OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Ravens have been initially an underperforming team that was still at 1-5 overhyped by sports shows to still win their division. Now that they have won 5 games in a row, Ravens are still a team that is inadequate thus year. The Bengals' bad defense got 5 takeovers and beat them.
The Bengals became the latest team to make the Ravens offense look mistake-prone and inept.

Lamar Jackson has looked like a shell of himself for three weeks now.

OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Cowboys come from behind win yesterday is as good as Denver's win over the Giants and The Texans win over the Jaguars. Something has happened to this Dallas team. A squad that might have settled for a lackluster effort against a three touchdown lead fought ferociously to win.
The Dallas Cowboys' 21-point come-from-behind win is tied for the largest comeback victory in team history, with the last time being against the St. Louis Rams in Week 3 of the 2014 season.
November 24, 2025 at 8:43 PM
OUTSIDE THE NFL: The Rams are enjoying the best season in a couple of years aided by Matthew Stafford's stellar year in the QB position. The addition of Devante Adams has turned this team in an offensive wrecking crew. The defensive which is decent has turned it up of late.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford has thrown 27 straight passing TDs without an INT.

It's the longest streak by any player since play-by-play was first tracked in 1978.
