Manchester Pride over for another year. Another chance to show that steam is for everyone (not just old cis straight white men). The way the crowd cheered and applauded everytime we blew the whistle or make her bark will never, ever get boring.(yes leather daddies do hump coal. lol)

Today was a pleasant day babysitting Fenchurch, would've been nice to actually do some work after getting the engine into steam though!

So in May, I spent 3 weeks in Wales, engaging with small steam trains by various means!
So I started the trip with a layover in Welshpool, where I took the opportunity to pose one chunky continental loco with another!

Finally got to have a go on Beachy Head!
My consensus: absolutely lovely engine to fire. Firing through the flap takes some precision but as long as you kept the sides and especially the back up, she was happy - lovely injectors too!

After the ex-LBSCR loco works in Brighton ceased rail work, the premises were used to build a more unusual vehicle - Isettas!
Between 1957 and 1962, these had to be transported out of the rail-locked works by rail leading to such unusual sights as the below!
