This local college's crossword puzzle is diabolical.
"R-V Hookup" - STU
"Seat at the London Stock Exchange" - ARSE
"Something good to do a 180 on" - LSAT
I'm fuming

Disappointing, but on the other hand, imagine getting stuck on another boring mission where you have to eavesdrop on some klansmen having same racist conversation over and over.
Ubisoft canceled an ‘ASSASSINS CREED’ game set in the post-Civil War era

• Featured a Black Assassin who was formerly a slave

• Players would fight the emerging KKK

• Leadership canceled it after concerns with U.S. political climate & Yasuke backlash

every gdscript code snippet is like:

if thing: call("do")

and then the C# equivalent is like:

public private partial class void Thing : MyThing:
{
GodotObject.ThingDoer(thing)
}
Thing = newThing
}}}}}}}}}}

and apparently that's much better

In case you were looking for a cool new way to describe a song you really like: Bassdrive host just described a track in his set as "pay attention"

Dozens of good reasons are given as to why the web seemed better back then: attention was spread across more sites, modes of engagement farming were more tolerable, etc.

But maybe it's also because the eminent "influencer" of that era was not the streamer or vlogger, but the flash animator
The cultural medium of the internet circa 2000 - 2010 wasn't video, it was interactive, 2D vector animations! Videos existed but they had to be exported as .flv (flash video) and streamed through Flash-based wrapper. Essentially this meant all videos were embedded inside animations!

I assumed path finding in Godot would be a week-long coding nightmare but it worked perfectly on the first try. I tell my little guy where to go and he... just goes there. Unbelievable

The new Asterix on Netflix is so good. Impeccable character animation. Sublime environments. Actually funny dialogue and visual gags. Feels fresh yet faithful to the original comics in all the right places. 10/10
