This year I wanted to read through The Stormlight Archive and surgery recovery gave me the perfect opportunity. This morning I finished reading Wind and Truth, thus completing arc 1! I also read Warbreaker and the novellas, which I highly recommend. Thousands of pages and worth every second!

After almost a year since my injury and 8 months of fighting with workman’s comp, I FINALLY had my ankle surgery on Wednesday. Recovery is going to suck for a bit, but at least my ankle will finally be able to heal! I have a pile of books next to my bed to keep me company while I rest and heal.

We have survived what is possibly the worst school year of our careers. The damage our district is doing to my program and the arts has left us defeated. We are still fighting, union is involved, but hope is low. My husband has left band/music and will be teaching math next year. We need some rest.
