Something that really doesn't get taken into account is that if you're a PC gamer for any length of time, you've seen plenty of digital gaming services come and go already. Remember when discord tried to compete with Steam, started selling games and had exclusives, and it lasted how long...?
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
