EPIC fashion show on a recent visit to Rwanda! THANK YOU Rwanda Education Assistance Practice for the high style event. An investment of $5K trained 22 youth in media & they now earn income as DJs, photographers, fashion models, and video producers - 3 received scholarships for higher education!

There are 10,000 canners in NYC providing vital recycling services, but often working in the shadows. With a $25,000 investment from NYC Connect, Sure We Can built a new redemption center in East New York to make it easier for canners to earn from their hard work.

Meet Lidia Oxí, Directora of our newest grant-making hub in Guatemala. She is committed to helping more people to access better life conditions and leadership. Her national & international experience and fluency in four languages allow her to build partnerships to strengthen Indigenous communities.

When progress is led from within, it works. 94% of NYC Connect's completed projects have succeeded in meeting their objectives, improving health, education, and economic opportunity for 16,500+ New Yorkers.

Globally, 63% of our project leaders are first-time grantees. We support them to success, bringing project leaders together to deepen their project management skills & expand their professional networks.

Community investments from our newest grantmaking hub in Guatemala are underway! Pictured here at the project launch, Guate Conecta is investing $6,500 alongside the community of Aldea Cerro de Oro's co-investment of $9,500 to purchase computers for students.

Get to know Zione James, Program Assistant for our Malawi hub, Mudzi Connect. She is a respected role model, championing girls’ education and the end to child marriage. Previously, Zione was an intern in the civil service, helping to deliver education, health & economic opportunity programs.

Visiting our program partners is a great way to support them in their important work. Here, we visit two partners in NYC while the same happens every month in each country where World Connect operates.
