Lake Itasca, MN , the birthplace of the mighty Mississippi River as the water first flows gently over the rocks at the edge of the lake, and begins the journey to the Gulf of Mexico

They're beating plowshares into swords for this tired old man elected king......this is the end of the innocence.

Begging and bullying for an award is maybe the most disgusting in his long line of disgusting behaviors. What a pathetic display of corruption.

There's several ways of saying what's on your mind. And in states and counties where it ain't too healthy to talk too loud, speak your mind, or even vote like you want to, folks have found other ways of getting the word around. One of the main ways is by singing.” - Woody Guthrie

In 1963 William Moore was killed at this spot on US 11 about 10 miles north of Gadsden, AL, about 40 miles from my hometown. He was walking from Chattanooga, TN to Jackson, MS in support of Civil Rights. No one was charged with his murder. The story is on the historical marker.

In 1965 Willie Brewster was killed by KKK thugs in my hometown of Anniston, AL who shot him from a passing car as he drove home from work. Later convicted, the low life Kluckers were sentenced to 7 years.

While "thoughts and prayers" are being publicly bandied about by politicians in reference to the flood catastrophe in Texas; perhaps prayers should also be said asking that Texas and the rest of America elect more competent and responsible governing officials.

So now the House is supposed to fix a bill that one of its Senate supporters says is a bad piece of legislation?

It appears that Lisa Murkowski is an adherent with JD Vance's Circle of Friends: Tribe First and Screw Everyone Else theory of religion and social responsibility. It's a dog eat dog way of life. Sad isn't it?
July 2, 2025 at 12:43 AM
So Lisa Murkowski sells out 15+ million Americans. I hope she sleeps well at night. I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

The rights that I’m fighting for would serve the needs of not only Black children, but white children, all kinds of children in the state of Mississippi".

"...Fascism says for us to split ourselves up into the thousand cliques and klans and beat our own chains of slavery onto our ankles by wasting our strength fighting our friend and neighbor—allowing the fascists to nip us off one by one, little by little, group by group." –

Woody Guthrie

Justice served for the Washita River massacre. You found fame General Custer, but it wasn't the glory of the Presidency you aspired to. Today is the 149th anniversary of the Battle of The Little Bighorn; a pyrrhic victory for Indigenous People, but justice served.

In 1963 Sports Illustrated had an article on the Panguitch, UT state high school basketball championship team. I vividly flashed back to that when I went thru Panguitch on US 89. This land is a good land, support democracy and not Fascism.

Loved this small cemetery by the Mississippi River on Aitkin County Rd. #3 north of Palisade, MN. The fellow must have been quite a baseball fan. This land is a good land, stand against Fascism, we are better than that.

US 50 in Nevada has been called the Loneliest Road in America. I don't know if it's the loneliest, but it is lonely that's for sure.
