I cleaned and oiled and finally set this up to sew today. It sews like a dream!!
I bought this last year from a son cleaning out his mother’s house after she transitioned. You can tell it was a precious possession as she had carved her drivers license number into the shiny black surface.

3 years ago intending to make some kind of zippered bag, but then I couldn’t figure out how to move forward, so I packed it away. Finally got brave enough to pull it out and finish it up.

Was thrilled to see the newly installed Almagam (Origin) a 26 foot tall bronze sculpture by Nick Cave at Frederik Meijer Gardens, it’s stunning, I think one of their best pieces.

I have heard so much about people loving the Lane Pants pattern, I decided to try it for myself. I made these from a repurposed linen duvet, and wore them out in public today at a botanical garden. I had 3 people come up and compliment me on my pants over the course of my visit!
