too many people see video games as products and not as culture

everyone would appreciate games more if they followed who is creating them instead of only following IPs

real life “lore” is infinitely more interesting than fictional lore and it also helps you better understand the fictional lore too

As gamers, we're used to companies squeezing every last penny out of us:

* Live service games

But this most recent trend of "Play 3 Days Early if you have the super-duper expensive version" really rubs me the wrong way.

Seeing the chatter around Metaphor Refantaziolini and it all sounds cool and I wish I wasn't so allergic to the look and tone of it. Every couple years I try a new bright and boisterous jrpg and every time I am defeated a few hours in. As in I personally am defeated. Not the player character. I die.
