Needed to practice drawing space suits for a commission, so here’s Jay in a suit I totally ripped off from The Martian because it’s a solid design, with a little bit of Starfleet/Earth Alliance color flair. :p

Making dynamic scenes in comics is SO FUN!! Here are some of my favorite pages from my original attempt at Lominus (the one that I rushed into with no long-term plan)
Ikara throwing a small black object that has sprouted goopy black hands, and it bounces across the page itself before falling down a storm drain. Ikara using magic on her scarf to wrap it around a cop's head and then slamming him down. The scarf moves through the panels in a continuous line to sell the impact. A few pages after the previous image. Ikara takes down another cop in a single, unbroken image (but with three shots of Ikara and the cop). The scarf flows across the top of the page in an arc as she wraps it around this cop, then moves straight down as she slams this cop's face into the ground. Ikara herself moves as she uses the magic, with her hands mimicking the movement of the scarf, and a looping line connects Ikara's left foot across each shot to imply her spinning around with the scarf. A double-page spread. On the left half of the image (what would be the first page), a scared-looking Rimaris runs away from two cops and a large splash behind her, and a large hand reaches out in front of her. On the right half (the second page), there is a large police robot that has quickly moved to cut Rimaris off, stretching its arm to the left half of the image to cut Rimaris off. Rimaris feels trapped by the very layout of this spread
