The ward has four councillors and extends from the village of Greenrigg in the west to Seafield in the east. The seat has been divided between SNP and Labour-including long-serving councillors, the SNP’s Jim Dickson and Labour’s George Paul.

Thank you to everyone who supported our motion today. Although it didn’t carry, we brought it forward because volunteers, management committees and residents deserve a real say in how their community centres are run. We’re disappointed, but we’re not surprised.

West Lothian wheelie bin clips 'impractical and dangerous' for collection crews
