I was hoping to get more Armored books out in 2025, but the Diamond bankruptcy really put a damper on things. Still, I’m very proud we were able to release the @wizardscomics.bsky.social half-issue, the collected edition, and give everyone a preview of what’s coming in issue #6!

As discussed on Ep 119, here's the Wizard News story about Miracleman returning in the pages of Hellspawn issue 13. Here Neil Gaiman claimed he owned the rights to the character and shortly after, the issues had to be completely scrapped due to a lawsuit.

Wizard 119 featured a concept sketch from Mark Bagley for Ultimate Electro and then the issue had an ad for Ultimate Spider-Man featuring the final version of the character. How's that for synergy?

Wizard 119 featured these ads for 2 different collectible card sets inspired by the 2001 Tim Burton Planet of the Apes movie. The film featured Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa as an ape named Krull. Sadly the actor passed away this week, but left behind some great performances.

The comic book price guide of Wizard 119 decided to celebrate the 4th of July by highlighting the "Lamest Patriotic Characters" of comics history. First up was Archie Comics/Impact Comics The Shield and Yankee Poodle from Captain Carrot and the Amazing Zoo Crew.
Wizard 119 featured an interview with filmmaker, M. Night Shyamalan who dances around the topic of being an actual comics fan and reveals which comic book movies he was offered to direct after the release of UNBREAKABLE.

As discussed during our recent episode, issue 119 of Wizard magazine was a milestone edition, in that it contained the full 22-pages of the 1st issue of Elektra as a preview. A first for the comics magazine.
