Appears to be made of pressed horn, likely dyed. Circa 1860-1880.

This gorgeous silk wrapper c. 1860s may be a maternity piece. Made to be worn at home, she has decorative/non-functioning buttons and there is evidence pins were used to secure the bodice closed.
