Day 28/30 There have been some minor slips with things that I technically was trying to abstain from. But... I'll still call it successful for all the crap I didn't consume during the 30 days.

Day 25/30 I started the day before the inauguration, and I think avoiding coffee and alcohol is the only thing that's kept me from losing it

Day 21/30 I wish fresh food was easier. Cost, convenience... & I have so much relative freedom & leisure time to shop & prepare food, mainly 4 just myself. I can only imagine what people in more challenging circumstances do 4 their families & the sacrifices/choices that they're probably forced into

Day 15/30 Halfway point. With the goings on with tariffs with Colombia, maybe I'm glad to not be relying on coffee for caffeine. Made burgers and potato wedges for dinner. Right now, nothing on the menu sounds good.

Day 14/30. Had iced tea at the brew pub. Had to wake up at 4:30 to travel, and didn't have caffeine to help me do it.

Day 13/30 = 43% complete. Not having caffeine or alcohol was easier today. I'm really nailing some tasty infusions with the sodastream. Scott has big plans for ginger simple syrup and other mixers he'd like to experiment with.

Day 11/30 Dinner was naked BW3 wings.

I admit a lot of this would be easier if there wasn't coke zero in the fridge or my lovely collection of scotch staring at me when I watch TV.

Day 10/30 woot! Bought a Sodastream yesterday. I've been tossing around the idea of making my own tonics, ginger soda, etc. for cocktails. I'm tossing around the idea of permanently kicking out coke zero and similar from my daily intake. But things like La Croix don't taste good to me. (1/2)

Day 9/30 went out after practice and did not eat nor drink. Just had water.

Day 8/30 Things I don't miss: pasta, grains, legumes, cheese (shocking, I know), pastries, cakes, cookies, ice cream, lattes. Tonight for dinner I made hamburgers.

Day 7/30 This morning all I wanted was a coke zero, but I drank club soda with lime instead. For dinner, I made a roasted pork loin, which came out perfectly.

Day 6/30 Dinner tonight was chicken breast roasted in the air fryer using coconut aminos as a sauce with some fresh fruit as dessert. Scott's going out for dinner and drinks. I'm going to skip this time, but next time I promise I won't miss out on socializing (while still sticking to the plan)

Day 5/30 - 1/6 complete. Felt whiny to not have a cocktail after dinner. Dinner was reverse seared ribeye.

Day 4/30 Today what I missed was wine. Or a cocktail. Or a beer. Anything. I'm not drinking sodas either right now, so even a ginger ale or something would have been fantastic. Headache was very light this morning, and by dinner time it was gone. Dinner was chicken curry in coconut milk.

3.1/30 I finished the day. The goal is 30 days of low carb, anti-inflammatory intake. Including no dairy, alcohol, gluten, sugar/sweeteners, caffeinated coffee, grains, nor legumes/soy. My brain is screaming that I can easily do 27 more days of giving up the rest if I just drink some coffee.

Day 3/30 Headache less today. Im not exactly hungry.. more I feel an emptiness & sense of loss. Im mourning food/coffee. Bought decaf because I really love the taste of black coffee & it's good! It just doesnt "do" anything. Studies say a cup of caffeinated coffee helps depression. Id <3 that help.

Day 2 of a nutritional reset plus following Lumen's suggestions.

I feel like warmed over dog vomit someone found on the side of the road.

So what's causing my headache? Lack of caffeine? Alcohol withdrawal? Not enough carbs? TOO MUCH carbs? Wrong electrolytes?

I keep ongoing notes for a lot of my hobbies/projects/etc. For instance, I log what I put into today's dinner casserole, so I can refer back to it to log my calories and refer back to it in case I want to make that same recipe again. Today I started a list of ALL my active logs.. it's at least 35
